Yay, it's now 2010. And it's my first post of the year.
So it's a bit late, coughcough. Lot's of things to do. Will update my countdown later in a post dated 'correctly' though, so even if this doesn't look like the first post of 2010 on my blog, don't worry, IT IS.
Went JB today. Woke up real early, fetch Yilin at TP at around 9.30am and we reached this mall call 'Jusco" about an hour later. Shopped there for almost 3 hours, mainly just looking for my formal wear. But the shops there are like, 'Esprit', 'G2000', 'Guess' and I have no idea why I came so far to buy from shops I can find in Singapore also...
(And yup, as expected the shirt I bought was expensive, at the high cost of 149RM)
Next, went to another shopping mall, nameless. I bought nth there...and was super unlucky by getting bitten by some unknown creatures when sitting on a bench!!! This 'helpful' stall owner, after seeing both Yilin and me were scratching our back, 'helpfully' told us that the benches were infected by some tiny black creatures that suck blood...!!!!
So helpful right. Never say anything when we sit down, tell us when its too late. And I was worse off by having two swollen areas which was bigger than a fifty cent coin each. GAH. Bought a shirt to change into and sealed my original shirt into a plastic bag to be disinfected when I reach home.
The 3rd mall was call...Laser Mall? A weird name for a weird place, but it was cool because there was a huge manga store (well, not only manga in the way it sort of feels like Comic Connection) and there was really lots and lots of manga there *.*
But I only had about 10 minutes there because it's quite late already...
Side rant:
BWAHAHAHA I bought my Saiyuki Reload 8&9 finally. I was refusing to buy it when I saw that other publisher besides Chuangyi published it since I have this rule of sticking to one publisher for one series. (AND CHUANGYI NV UPDATE SAIYUKI RELOAD FOR 2 YEARS AFTER THEY RELEASE VOL 7 2 YEARS LATER COMPARE TO OTHER PUBLISHER ALR) Yea, and the most irritating part is you can NEVER fine scans of Saiyuki reload online, be it eng-sub, chi-sub or raws.
And I saw vol 8 and 9 today, by this other publisher, selling at 5RM each.
BWAHAHAHA it's cheap enough that I can buy and read first and buy and collect the Chuangyi version when they release it, whenever it is (my estimation: 10 years)
...now it feels as if the pt of this trip is to get this 2 books...
