Lol, once I stop I feel lazy to start again...Anyway, recap for this past week...
Monday, picnic at ECP with my mom. I woke up super early to make sandwiches and drinks, left house about 3 plus pm (cuz my mother woke up around 1 and need to do a lot of time wasting activities like bath, make up, water the plants etc) and laze at the beach until 6 plus. Really just sat there do nothing except enjoy the scenery...
Tuesday is the day, my handphone contract can finally be renewed!! BUT...I discovered that either way I still need my father to be present if I want to get a new phone, and judging from his busy schedule I think I have a long time to wait before I can change to a new phone...
Wednesday, went out with Shiyun to Marina Square. Surprisingly, they had more shops there than I imagined, although its still pretty empty anyway.
*Island~End of Nightmare Season 2 Volume 1 to be released in Taiwan!!! I want >.<
Thursday, lol, woken up by Jac around 12 plus and went off to SingPost to meet her for lunch, half asleep. Tsktsk, the things I sacrifice for friends.
Friday, Darren 21st bday chalet at Aloha Loyang...so ulu...walked for a long time...haha. Shiyun was wearing skirt but keep wanting to find a toilet to change to shorts the whole time we were walking there. The chalet very big (:

And one of the night in the past week I discovered that Island~End of Nightmare Season 2 Volume 1 Chapter 1 was posted online by the publisher as a means to celebrate and I went crazy after reading it XD
There was an awesome official video (awesome drawing anyway, since its more of a picture slideshow) about it up on youtube that made me crazier for the book... I want it so badly. Its time like this I dismay that I don't live in Taiwan... T.T
I swear the past few nights I keep dreaming of the scene where I got my hands on the book...lol then I woke up and it wasn't true so I dismay again. I can't wait for it...Island~End of Nightmare Season 2...
Season 1 just ended last month at volume 13 and already I read book 13 like ten times and still don't tire of it. It's just that awesome, especially the characters. Yea, the characters are what attracted me more than the plot, although the plot is quite good as well, but cuz it moves kind of slowly sometimes, so its the characters, or to be more precise, the main character that appeal to me most.
The reason is very simple. You know how most adventure stories, the main character is always either one of these types;
1) Brave and reckless, always yelling about justice and about whether something is right or wrong
2) Kind hearted and genius at fighting even though he appeared at first as a noob, somehow he by himself will soon figure out some ultimate secret that will make him super strong.
3) Kind of awkward with the girl he like, at the same time always believing that things will go on right in the end, all enemies killed, no one will die and they'll have a happily ever after
And to make stories more interesting there'll be a bad guy, a girl, a couple of good friends that Main Character can trust his life with and a helper whom sometimes help out yet sometimes become the enemy although he is never truly evil; best thing is, he will always appear at the most critical moment to save the day yet leave before anyone figure it out and the credit goes to the Main Character.
So anyway...most of the times its the poor 'helper' that garners my interest and the main character disgust me; yet the poor helper will always die or disappear in the end and goes out of the picture to let the main character shine in the spot light for the rest of his life. And that kind of ending makes me gnaw my teeth in frustration.
SO, the reason why I like Island~End of Nightmare is because...dum dum dum! The author flipped the roles over XD
He made the "helper" the main character and he has a side character inside which fits the roles of the "main character" and we get to read the story from the "helper's" point of view instead (:
It's not that no one ever tried writing this kind before, but somehow throughout the journey the helper! main character will get twisted and become like a real main character, which is what I hate.
Island~End of Nightmare the author, manages to keep his helper!main character in character perfectly; as if its really the other guy the main character, but just that his story is written from the point of view from the helper guy.
So, the main character of Island~End of Nightmare has a short temper, no patience, no kind heart, doesn't insist that all human lives are equal and everyone should be given a second chance, he's no genius at fighting but the way he fight kinds of cheat and he leaves whenever he feel like it.
Love the way that he view all demons/monsters as equals to human instead of them being evil and needed to be killed because they endanger human as if they are beings below humans in the story.
Especially love the way that he will just retaliate against whoever endanger or insult him or rubs him the wrong way be it old ladies or little girls, instead of having the thinking that one should always respect old people and cherish little kids and that no matter what wrong they did they can be forgiven.
The best is the part where he will just kill off his enemies even if they are human instead of the 'normal' thinking that no matter what wrong they did, because they are fellow humans we shouldn't kill them; thus giving them more chances to inflict more damage in the future.
XDXDXD
Season 2 talk about the world in the story a hundred years later after Season 1 ended. Omg, I wanted to read the whole series Now.....~!!!
